Delise Design was initially formed as a warehouse studio project operating as a space for experimental design endeavors. Over the years it has grown to embody a wholistic approach to problem solving tested and proven on a variety of products and applications. Building the scope of this studio has served as an exercise in entrepreneurial sciences, and the endless search for the ideal path to evolving conceptual ideas into feasible reality.

The mission of this pursuit is to learn by merging both the technical business and creative artistic elements of Industrial Design into a core philosophy. Good Design is like delivering a joke- it requires density of thought to be compressed into a simple illustration and if executed effectively should be self explanatory.

Christian’s Grandfather, Anthony Delise, was a Machinist Engineer and Merchant Marine for the US Navy during the Second World War. His unique set of skills meant he could mill cylinders by eye to within centimeters. His experience in building engines from U-Boats to Carrier ships allowed him to support the war effort from both land and water. His devotion to his craft was instilled in Christian as a reminder for the endless work of those before us which helped make the world we live in today possible. The art of making things drove him to pursue a career creating product concepts and machinery which work towards improving the intrinsic human relationship we have with them.

The goal of this consultancy is to share the design process that has been cultivated over the years for others to utilize and benefit from.

Industrial Design is more than just giving things aesthetic appeal. It is about evolving and expanding the functionality of a product. In order to make things work better, we must first understand how much better they can be made….only then can we reimagine how they can be used.
